Ryder Cup hero Colin Montgomerie took time out from his schedule on Tuesday to coach some of Britain's golfing stars of the future. Montgomerie ran the rule over a group of children as part of the HSBC Wee Wonders Open Golf Championships, the UK's leading golf competition for five to 12-year-olds.
The programme attracts over 1000 young aspiring golfers each year, playing in 67 local qualifiers over nine regions.
Winners of age categories proceed through tournament stages to compete in the Grand Final at the home of golf, St Andrews.
Montgomerie said: "I'm really pleased to be involved with the HSBC Wee Wonders, it's a fantastic initiative and great for grass-roots golf."
